I think ‘once a teacher always a teacher’ and your care for your students never diminishes – I find I am always thinking them hence I set ‘homework’ challenges when I cannot conduct classes. This occurs due to travel or as at present I am recovering knee surgery consequently classes are suspended for a while.
Of course ‘homework’ is totally optional but many of my students have commented it keeps them thinking and they find the challenge lots fun without me ‘breathing down their necks’.
A plate of ‘Chinese styles Churros’ (image below) is their first challenge.
Giving my students a helping hand from afar I suggested they look at the image carefully then select a particular aspect such as: – line, colour, movement, or even what the image may invoke etc.
