Wall Arrangments
Wall arrangements can follow the format/theme of many lessons we study e.g. depicting any of the 3 Sogetsu elements: Line, Colour or Mass –just in a different position and viewed from a different angle.
Creating a wall arrangement has a challenge of creating enough depth because the work is against a flat wall thus stopping material ‘out the back’. The artist has to create depth in reverse or give the illusion through use of colour, movement etc. Take into account the placement of the arrangement – what colour is the wall, does the arrangement hang in a passage way, etc, in fact all these points should be considered for every arrangement you create.
