Favorite Material or Marquette?

My lesson with Fukushima sensei in Tokyo the other night was to work with your favourite container, material or style.

As many of you may realise I have a passion for architectural styled arrangements usually emphasising on line. The idea was to create hollow cubes (that is they only had four sides not six) of various sizes using wire netting. Linking the ‘cubes’ at random to form this ‘crazy’ shape that balanced on an aluminium tubed container. I placed water vials in a couple of the tubes for the Japanese Wind flower and hollow reeds.

One of the reasons I work along these lines is I often treat the work as a Marquette that could be scaled right up using plant material.
