Lesson at Sogetsu School of Ikebana Tokyo
The itinerary for the Japan tour to view the stunning autumn colours included a wonderful private lesson at the Sogetsu of Ikebana, Headquarters in Tokyo.
The bulk of the tour delegates had never had the pleasure of attending a class at Headquarters so the nerves and anticipation of being able to be creative weighted heavily on them. Our Sensei for the class soon put any worries at bay and before I knew it everyone was well and true ensconced in their work. The theme was extremely challenging because we worked with branch material in a Tsubo container.
